REO
Over 10,000 Valuations. 400+ REO Sales. One Platform for Execution.
Wilen and MinnesotaForeclosures.com have supported more than 35 of the nation's leading banks, servicers, and capital firms in the valuation, management, and sale of real estate owned (REO) assets. Our proprietary platform was purpose-built to manage the entire REO lifecycle—from valuation through rehabilitation, marketing, and final disposition. It combines front-end transparency with a robust back-end infrastructure for vendor oversight, team collaboration, and real-time reporting.
We’ve completed over 10,000 portfolio valuations and closed more than 400 REO transactions on behalf of institutional and private lenders. The system is actively deployed across 24 monitored assets, has overseen 100+ full property rehabilitations, and managed more than 1,000 properties through eviction and turnover. Our multidisciplinary approach is designed for speed, accuracy, and compliance. We bring institutional-grade systems to every assignment, ensuring high-velocity resolution, enhanced recovery, and operational clarity across all phases of asset management.
Wilen delivers full-service support—24/7 communication, integrated vendor coordination, and actionable reporting—backed by proprietary data tools and a team trained in urgency. Whether navigating a single asset or a regional foreclosure portfolio, we reduce complexity while maximizing value.
This expertise is grounded in experience. Mike Wilen’s late father led the Civil Division of the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, managing foreclosure enforcement and property disposition. That legacy informs our deep understanding of property law, eviction logistics, and compliance-heavy transactions.
Mike Wilen’s entry into the REO space began with data, not sales. During the financial crisis, he developed a Python-based model to help lenders assess Loss Severity Percentage—a core risk metric—by analyzing foreclosure trends, crime data, market time, delinquencies, and comparable sales. The model offered lenders consistent, appraisal-quality desktop valuations that reduced turnaround and improved portfolio strategy.
That data-first methodology remains foundational to our REO platform today—combining local expertise, operational discipline, and real-time intelligence to support better decisions and stronger recoveries.
